Our boats are comfortable and functional.

* racing * fitness training * touring * recreation
Why should you consider our boats?&&

Design ...
these kayaks have flatter hulls than traditional sprint models, which makes them more stable. Beginners and children can handle them quite easily. However various hull design features of sprint models have been retained which makes them much faster than traditional recreational boats. In fact, many Masters age competitors use these boats for national and international sprint and marathon competitions;

Features ... many of the inner components developed to meet the rigorous demands of Olympic champions have been incorporated into these models, such as comfortable adjustable seats, sturdy adjustable footrests and rudders controlled by a tiller bar on the footrest. These make your paddling stroke more efficient so you will glide further with each stroke;

Construction ... our boats are available in different materials like fibreglass carbon & kevlar. Top quality materials make these boats both durable and light (20 lb. and up), very manageable both on and off the water;

Reputation... Vajda and Kirton have been among the world's leading designers and manufacturers of racing kayaks for many years. They offer a two year warranty on any manufacturing defect and their boats represent a sound investment.
Mississippi Kayaks is one of the world's largest flatwater racing boat dealers, having served the North American market for over 15 years and offering prompt and reliable service.
A note about stability ... in the world of kayaks, sleeker is faster. In order to exert full power on our paddle we must be stable in the boat. Even if we just want to enjoy a relaxing paddle rather than perform at top speed, we must be comfortable and relaxed. Stability is a subjective and personal component of paddling and is different for each paddler. We have grouped our boats in several general stability ranges (see below).
Level 1 - tippiest models, used by national and world class paddlers;

Level 2-3 - very tippy - used by Masters racers (30 years and older), most of whom paddled as youngsters but who are looking for something a little more stable than the tippiest models;

Level 4-8 - mid range stability - used by older athletes new to paddling who want the fastest boat they can handle for racing purposes, or by older experienced paddlers who need a second boat for early season training in cold water or for racing in turbulent water conditions;

Level 9-12 - very stable - used by older athletes new to paddling who want to adapt to the sport fairly quickly in order to achieve fitness benefits. They are also used by experienced paddlers who need a stable boat for cold or rough water conditions. Most of these models meet the Touring Class specs of most Marathon Racing Associations.
